Marlon De Silva is a writer, director, producer, and editor. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Both of his parents are from Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is skilled in the entertainment industry within film, theater, television, music, and media. His first industry internship was at Fox Studios (Fox Network, Fox Sports, and 20th Century Fox), which took place in the Summer before his senior year at Hollywood High School in 2015. Since then, he has worked on projects, shoots, and internships with Warner Bros., Netflix, Disney—while in college.
After attending Santa Monica College and then transferring to California State University - Los Angeles, where he earned his B.A. in Television, Film, and Media Studies, De Silva was selected as an NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment Intern in June 2019, where he play the role and responsibilities as an assistant editor for online content for the network, Bravo. His three month summer internship ended up spanning to work at NBCU as an extended intern role for two years, and offered the job as Assistant Editor/Finishing Editor/Co-Editor from his team, before graduating college in May 2021. 
In May 2021, Marlon was 1 of 35 selected nationwide for The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' Academy Gold Rising Program's Production Track—emphasizing in Film Editing. He was selected as the student speaker for the closing ceremony, and won a scholarship through the program. Through The Academy, he was also 1 of 15 selected for the 2022 Diverse Reader's Workshop—a program through the Nicholls Fellowship engaging in storytelling and script development in the film industry.  
As of June 2024, De Silva was promoted to Producer/Editor at NBCUniversal within Television and Streaming programs.
